Some recent workshop topics we have provided include: traceability and shop floor information systems, ergonomics and quality, improving visual inspection, value stream mapping, Honda’s NMR process, Honda’s returnable packaging system, leading kaizen blitzes, PFMEA, 5S practices, Visual factory management, Introduction to Lean, training within industry techniques, etc. We have had plant tours of people making everything from emission control modules to cast iron cookware, from aluminum wheels to steering wheels. We have seen stamping, assembly, casting, machining, painting, plating, metalizing, injection molding as well as office and inventory/logistics processes through a lean manufacturing lens.
